What a year 2011 has been.  I don’t even know where to start we’ve done so much this year.  I think this year we’ve done more traveling than ever.  We went to California for 10 days.   It was a first for me, since I’ve never been further west than Texas before this trip.  Charlene has been to California a couple of times, but it’s been years.  We’ve been saying for years we would go, and Charlene finally said lets do it and bought the tickets.  It was a blast, and at the end of it, I was glad to come home, but I’m glad we went.  It was an experience I wouldn’t trade for anything.  I don’t think we will go back for a couple of years due to the cost, but I’m looking forward to going back and revisiting some of the places that I wish we had more time to spend at in the first place.

Outside of this, we took many many trips to Florida this year.  I know that’s a shock since we don’t like theme parks at all (gentle sarcasm).  I can safely say we’ve been to more theme parks this year than ever.  We went to 8 in California, and then on this coast it was the two universal parks, Magic Kingdom, Busch Gardens, Seaworld, Legoland, and Carowinds.  We were going to squeeze in EPCOT and Disney MGM, but it didn’t work out.

Outside of that, it’s just been a good year.  Here’s hoping 2012 is as good.
