Ritz Carlton
This was by far the fanciest place that we stayed while in California. We wanted to stay someplace on the Pacific, and this hotel was waterfront with a section of beach that you could take the winding path down to. We were kind of the oddball characters there in that we actually carried our own luggage to our room, and horrors of horrors, we were wearing T-shirts. It was very nice place, with a koi pond outside the window that runs the length of the building, several pools, and all the amenities. The same as the rest of the trip, the weather was beautiful, so we went down and stuck our toes in the water first thing.
